Common Sports Injuries We Treat

Sports injuries can affect muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, and nerves throughout the body.

Common conditions we regularly assess and treat include:

  • Back pain related to sport and exercise

  • Neck pain and stiffness

  • Shoulder injuries

  • Hip and groin pain

  • Knee pain

  • Running injuries

  • Muscle strains

  • Joint sprains

  • Overuse injuries

  • Training-related aches and pains

Whether your injury occurred suddenly or has developed gradually over time, a thorough assessment can help identify the factors contributing to your symptoms.

Why Sports Injuries Occur

Sports injuries often occur due to a combination of factors, including:

  • Sudden increases in training load

  • Poor recovery between sessions

  • Previous injuries

  • Reduced mobility or flexibility

  • Strength deficits

  • Biomechanical factors

  • Repetitive movement patterns

  • Contact injuries

Understanding why an injury has occurred is often just as important as treating the symptoms themselves.

How DT Chiropractic Can Help

Every sports injury assessment begins with a detailed history and physical examination.

Treatment may include:

  • Chiropractic spinal manipulation

  • Joint mobilisation

  • Soft tissue therapy

  • Exercise rehabilitation

  • Mobility and flexibility programmes

  • Strength and conditioning advice

  • Return-to-sport planning

  • Injury prevention strategies

Our goal is not only to help you recover from injury but also to reduce the likelihood of future problems.
